Belize City Council Fine Tunes Portfolios

The Belize City Council has made some adjustments to its councilor portfolios. A release from CITCO outlines the changes which begin with Mayor Bernard Wagner, who is also taking on Staff Development & Training, Public Relations, and Special Events. Councilor Javier Castellanos now assumes responsibility for Management Information Systems; Councilor Albert Vaughan adds Municipal Court and Enforcement; Micah Goodin takes over E-Governance and Community Engagement; and, Deannie Requena adds Non-Governmental Organizations. Other changes include Councilor Stephanne Hamilton taking on Foreign Affairs and Sister City Relations in her portfolio; whereas, Natasha Pipersburgh will be taking over Parks & Playgrounds and Beautification. The Belize City Council says this realignment should serve as a catalyst for delivering greater results for the remainder of the Council’s term.
