Mark Vaccaro was sitting at the Conch Shell Bay Fish Market on Vernon Street shortly after five on Tuesday morning, waiting for his seller to show up with the stock of seafood for the day. Instead, a man dressed in full black and wearing a mask and cap came over the bridge from the direction of Cemetery Road, walked right up to him and pulled out a handgun and demanded all his money. Vaccaro handed over all he had on him and the thief got away in a waiting vehicle that sped off down Vernon Street. A surveillance camera in the area reportedly showed the man walking towards the bridge moments before Vacarro was relieved of his money.
