Names of Legal Firms Were in Letter from PM
The Prime Minster did respond to Peyrefitte’s request with a three-page document. A list is provided, but Peyrefitte says he asked for specifics. He requested the details pertaining to how much money was paid to each firm.
Michael Peyrefitte, Chairman, U.D.P.
“You are supposed to be covered, you good now. In October, they bring a supplementary budget under Cap Three for fifteen million dollars, for legal and advisory fees, Blue Bond issue, fifteen million dollars. He said the fees dispersed were to the following people: City Capital Markets, Hall Mark Advisory, Sullivan and Cromwell, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, the Bank of New York Mellon, Carter Ledyard and Milburn LLP, Equip Global Restructure LLC and Global Bondholder Services Corporation. He told me that these are the people who were paid fees. But, were they paid out of the six million originally budgeted? Were they paid out of the additional twenty million, or were they paid out of the fifteen million? He did not answer my question. Who got paid out of the fifteen million, not who got paid overall?”
