Dr. Cuellar Says MOHW Needs To “Get Their Act Together.”
Before the news broke at noon that the Minister of Health was being changed in the Prime Minister’s Cabinet reshuffle, Dr. Fernando Cuellar said the leadership situation at the Ministry must be addressed. He has been an outspoken critic of the Ministry in recent weeks, and today he told the hosts of Open Your Eyes that the ministry needs to “get its act together”, and that Belizeans should not depend on authorities to get us out of the current situation.

“We need to just tell the people: just be careful, workplaces stay home if you have flu like symptoms, no penalize employees, and just read the common sense. No di depend pon the authorities fi mek we get out of this ting. I will take the opportunity to call out the Ministry of Health mek den get their act together. Because they got good spin doctors that would say, “everything good, everything good, “ But we have no DHS, no CEO, blah, blah, blah… so it’s time for the authorities in the government to fix that and make we feel like we got people that will deal with this thing.”
