Hubee Alvarez Released “Life Part 2”
Tonight, we leave you with a highlight of another Belizean talent spreading a message of positivity and peace through music. Huston “Hubee” Alvarez and his talented crew have released the visuals to the single, “Life Part 2”. The song encourages the community to invest in the youths of our nation, while encouraging them to live a productive lifestyle. The song became even more meaningful to Alvarez, after his fifteen year old friend, Joshua Flores, was gunned down in Dangriga just this week. Here is Hubee, as a guest, on Open Your Eyes this morning.

“How much more youths them ah guh kill… opportunities to excel. […] Actually the youth is my friend. We grew up together playing football in Harlem. I didn’t live in Harlem area you know, but my cousins live there and they were my company, so I got myself attached to that area. We grew up together and then it’s like he was the one out of the group who was always ready to defend anyone of his friend. That is the kind of person he was. So, his memory lives on.”

“What was it like when you got the news?”
Huston “Hubee” Alvarez
“It was hard, not only because he was my friend, but rather because he was so young, fifteen years old. That is something hard to take in, as a youth myself it hurts me to know that I can go out there and someone can take my life away so easily. It is a loss for the community, a loss of the country. Belize, it is yours truly Hubee, we live in a time where change is necessary and needed, and I urge all the youths to put down the gun. I can only say that now, but it is your task and your job. I am giving you the task, invest, learn a trade, do something with your life, life is very short, make the best of it. Make your parents proud, make your people proud, and make yourself cloud. This is “Life Part 2”, featuring Mr. Cleve, Produced by Junnie Mar and shot and edited by my good friend Dennis Sutherland, enjoy.”
