Cancer Medication Prices Lower at K.H.M.H.
These medications will be available at a lower cost at the hospital, because N.H.I. was able to negotiate a discounted price. Chandra Cansino, C.E.O. at K.H.M.H., explained that prior to this purchase, patients were required to pay much high prices for medication outside the hospital.

“As you know, the focus right now, everybody is concerned about COVID and COVID-19 patients. But, as we have been consistently saying, we have a large population of persons that have other illnesses, other diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension that needs our attention care. So, we recently opened the Radiology Unit here at the KHMH and what had previously happened, persons accessed the medication from outside and brought it here, and we administered it. However, with this investment and support from Social Security, they will now have access to the medication here at K.H.M.H., so then the patients can now purchase the medication here at K.H.M.H. at a reasonable cost, and be able to get the medication. I don’t think, like most illnesses, or like most needs, you don’t realize the value of healthcare until you become ill.”
