Taiwan Provides Financial Support for Medical Imaging Project
The Government of Taiwan has given the Ministry of Health and Wellness four hundred and sixty thousand U.S. dollars to be used for the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) project. The four-year initiative, which began in 2019, will see an improvement in medical imaging systems at the Karl Heusner Memorial, Western Health Regional, and Northern Health Regional hospitals. Computer and radiography equipment will be purchased to improve image quality and enhance the storage and transfer of images between hospitals. Michel Chebat, Minister of Health & Wellness, received the donation from David Kuan-Chou Chien, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), during the Cayo North Culture Day in San Ignacio Town on the eighteenth.
