San Pedro Killed Over Bike and Job Loss

Police have confirmed that a San Pedro man, Hilberto Caliz, was killed last weekend over a dispute involving a bicycle. But, there were also other factors at play. The carpenter and football player was shot dead as he was heading home. Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams told the media on Wednesday that Caliz was not the only target, but paid with his life.

“From what we’ve gathered, it’s over a stolen bike and the issue as it relates to a person getting fired from his work and apparently he took it against the persons who he believed were a part of his dismissal.”

 Police have charged eighteen-year-old Julio Paiz for Caliz’ murder.
