Belize Thanks Cuba For Medical Brigade Help During COVID
The Caribbean Community, CARICOM, has maintained cordial relations with Cuba since 1972, and today they celebrated forty-nine years of mutual respect, cooperation and solidarity. As a part of that celebration is the nineteenth anniversary of CARICOM-Cuba Day, which was also held today. Belize joined in by expressing appreciation to Cuba for providing us with a brigade of medical doctors and other medical personnel when COVID was detected. According to a release from GOB, that deployment of the over sixty medical experts to Belize helped to create a better response to the pandemic.
