Auditor General Dorothy Bradley Looks Back at Legacy
The tenure of Dorothy Bradley as Auditor General comes to an end on December seventh. Bradley has issued a farewell statement saying “As I leave, I am extremely proud to report that in keeping with the LIMA and Mexico Declarations for the independence of Supreme Audit Institutions, my team and I have worked on a Draft Bill to enhance and improve the Office of the Auditor General.” The release notes that draft legislation has been presented to the Prime Minister for consideration and presentation to the National Assembly for approval. Bradley went on to say, “The legacy I leave behind as your first female Auditor General, can be found in the work our office produced. I can say I was emboldened to always do my work, without fear or favor, since I know my duty is under the Constitution and the people of Belize.” The appointment of a new Auditor General has yet to be announced.
