“We had another fatal traffic accident that took place on the Hummingbird Highway, between miles forty-nine and fifty, somewhere in the area of Cabanas Entertainment area whereupon arrival a little after eleven a.m. on Sunday, police found a red in color car bearing license plate C05425 near the intersection of Hummingbird Highway of course and Mariposa Avenue with the left portion of that car extensively damaged.  On the side of the road in a drain, police saw a grey Toyota Forerunner, license plate [number] C14803.  Inside the car was the motionless body of a dark skinned male, a dark complexioned male and beneath the vehicle was a body of a female apparently still alive. They saw a body partially crushed under the Toyota Forerunner.  That person was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital where her identity was learned to be Kimberly Griffith, a fifty-one-year-old designer of Fourth Avenue Corozal Town.  I know that investigators gathered that that vehicle was traveling in the direction as if heading towards Dangriga Town.  They had two other occupants in that vehicle with her, Jacqueline Martinez, a teacher from Sixth Street North, Corozal Town and Elias Castillo, forty-five-years-old, tour guide.  Both Jacqueline and Elias were taken to the hospital.  We know that Ms. Griffith died a few minutes later while receiving treatment. The deceased that was removed from the vehicle was Elmar Avila, the forty-year-old.  He was pronounced dead also at the Western Regional Hospital by a medical officer.”
