Supal Street Shooting Victim Gives His Story of Police Abuse
On Saturday night, twenty-eight-year-old Reese Fitzgibbon was shot with a rubber bullet by police officers who stormed his residence on Supal Street in the wake of a shooting incident on Amara Avenue. He was reportedly taken into police custody after being injured and denied medical attention in the first instance. He claims that it wasn’t until he recorded his injuries and went live on social media that the arresting officers finally allowed him to seek the attention he needed. According to Fitzgibbon, even after returning from the hospital he was denied the medico-legal form that was issued by the doctor.
