Darnell Swaso Perishes in RTA on the Southern Highway
There was a fatal road traffic accident in the south on Saturday that claimed the life of Darnell Swaso. Police responded to an area along the Southern Highway where they came across a vehicle that ran off the road. Not far from the scene of the overturned vehicle, the officers observed the lifeless body of the thirty-year-old motorist. Police say Swaso was en route to Dangriga when the RTA occurred.

“On the twenty-third of October, Independence police visited a scene between Placencia and Stann Creek, well in the Stann Creek District where they found a car, silver in color, overturned. Extensively damaged… a little distance from that vehicle, on the shoulder of the road, they saw the body of Swaso, Darnell Suazo, thirty-years-old. Investigations revealed so far that Swaso was traveling on that highway towards Dangriga Town where he lost control of the vehicle, slammed into a drain and overturned. Unfortunately, he did not survive the accident because he suffered severe head and body injuries.”
