What Happens to Dr. Marvin Manzanero?

So what happens to the substantive DHS Doctor Marvin Manzanero? There have been conflicting communications from various government officials on the fate of the embattled senior public officer. One thing for sure, says Dean Flowers, is that Doctor Manza has not received any form of communication from the Ministry of Health since March of this year.

“The Prime Minister gets on the media, and this is last week, and he said that the Ministry of Health and Wellness, via the minister, is in conversation with Doctor Manza on an exit package. I am pretty sure you can look through your archives and replay that for him – he said they are working on an exit package. None other than the Minister of Health, it was quoted in a newscast yesterday that he sent a text message to say that Doctor Manza has in fact been offered one of these soon to be created posts. Then there is another comment made by the Minister of Public Service yesterday – I don’t quite recall what his comments were in relation to that issue – but clearly there is lack of communication between the Minister of health and the Prime Minister or misinformation being communicated to the Prime Minister or – and I really hope this is a big or – a deliberate attempt to deceive and mislead the Belizean public by stating to them that in fact he has been offered one of those positions and he has not responded versus  the Prime Minister’s comment that they are working on an exit package to see him gone. I can say that I have done my own research on this matter, I have reached out Doctor Manza as a member of this union and I can say to you that there has been absolutely no communication between Doctor Manza and the Ministry of Health since March.”
