Surveillance Footage of Kassman Murder to go to FBI

It’s been just over a week since fifteen-year-old Kassman Gill, a promising student at Saint John’s College died at the K.H.M.H.. He had been hospitalized for gunshot injuries he sustained fifty-two days earlier. To date, nobody has been charged in connection with his murder, even though there is surveillance footage from the area that captures the moment the gunman took aim at the minor before standing over him and shooting him again in the back. Gill was killed just a block away from where he lived and his father Cecil Gill made an appeal asking ComPol Chester Williams to allow the FBI to enhance the footage so that the gunman can be identified and brought to justice. Today, the Commissioner responded.

“Kassman Gill’s father has asked for the FBI to review the surveillance footage for his son and for the footage to be released so that people may identify the killer. Is there any update on that?”

“I’m not too familiar with the second part in terms of releasing the footage. I will have to look at it from a legal standpoint to see if it is that we would be in a position to do so. But certainly in terms of the first aspect of your question, we will put together the package of footages and we will be asking the FBI to enhance and analyse the footage for us so that is being worked out.”
