Caye Caulker Chairlady is the New President of Pharmacists Association
It has been dormant for a while, but the Pharmacists Association of Belize is making a comeback under new leadership. On Tuesday night, a virtual meeting of the membership was held and Caye Caulker Chairlady, Seleny Villanueva-Pott was elected as the new president. While we have come to recognise Villanueva-Pott as the face of the island and for being active in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the survival of the tourism industry, she is also a pharmacist by profession.

“This association has been formed for quite some years and since COVID-19, I think we have gone; everybody has been busy in their pharmacists’ role because we do play an integral part in the healthcare system. But members, we have a chat and we have been discussing that we need to revise the association and the last executive decided that the time was now. And well, last night we had a voting and a new executive was chosen last night.”
Villanueva-Pott has been a pharmacist for eleven years.
