Applications Open for Census 2022 workers

If you are job hunting, you might want to look towards the Statistical Institute of Belize. They need to fill nine hundred vacant short term positions for its 2022 Population and Housing Census. Those interested can apply online. Applicants will be shortlisted and contacted in December of 2021. We learnt more from SIB today.

“SIB will be recruiting persons for the following positions. So we have the field supervisor position, interviewer, editor coder, which is specifically for Belmopan only. We have administrative assistant, one per district, IT Technician, one per district. And also, we will need drivers in each district, which will be an average of six districts, meaning that we will have different amount of teams in each district. Of course, if you are interested, this is the time to submit an application online. We have an online application. So, visit our website, go to www.sib.org.bz, then click on Census 2022, census recruitment, then click on the “apply now” button. That will take you straight to the application form so that you can submit an application online. For the field supervisor, administrative assistant and the IT Technician positions, those are paid at sixty dollars per day. The drivers are paid at fifty five dollars per day. The editor coder, interviewer, they receive an average of two hundred and fifty dollars to three hundred per week, as of course they are paid based on questionnaires that have been completed. For the Field Supervisor, the Admin Assistant, the IT Technician and the Editor Coder position, a minimum of an Associate degree is required. For all other position we require a high school diploma.”
