A New K.H.M.H. C.E.O. to be Named by Mid-September

Andre Sosa

A new Chief Executive Officer for the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital is expected to be announced within the next two weeks.  As we’ve reported, two candidates, including Doctor Michael Tewes and Nurse Chandra Cansino, a general manager at the Social Security Board, applied for the post and were interviewed by the K.H.M.H. Board.  It was later announced by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, albeit prematurely, that Doctor Tewes had been named the incoming C.E.O.  That appointment was subsequently rescinded amid a backlash from hospital staff, as well as the public.  According to Doctor Sosa, a successor will be named by mid-September.

Dr. Andre Sosa, Chair, K.H.M.H.A.

“That is precisely what happened when we saw the backlash on social media, in civil society with regards to the decision.  Subsequently, not only as a result of that but also because of new information that came to light and the decision had to be put on hold, rescinded.  I am not at liberty to reveal what information I am talking about, we have to respect the privacy of the candidates.  But suffice it to say that the selection process continues, it will be revisited and, you know…”

“How many candidates made it to interview?”

Dr. Andre Sosa

“Two.”

Marleni Cuellar

“How many applications did you receive that…”

Dr. Andre Sosa

“Well, for the post of C.E.O., two and for the other posts, several other candidates.  Many candidates.”

Marleni Cuellar

“When do you expect to have a new C.E.O.?”

Dr. Andre Sosa

“Well, I am hoping that within the next week, week and a half, we will be able to make that decision.  We are two months behind by my estimates as to where we should be in reforming the K.H.M.H.”
