“All Belizeans have a fundamental right. Section three of our constitution makes it clear that persons cannot be discriminated against for their sex, their colour, their religion, their ethnicity and most certainly for their political affiliation. This is a fundamental right; this is of paramount importance to our legal system, the way we are govern and our democracy. It is imperative that those persons who hold the reins of power respect this fundamental principle.”
