Internal Rift Led to Murder of Devon “Hulk” Bailey

Last Friday night, reputed Antelope Street gang boss Devon Bailey was shot and killed in Belize City. And while the police department is prepared for reprisal, there is information to suggest that Bailey’s killing may have been as a result of internal fighting.

“He has been a person of influence in that Antelope Street area and while yes, we have seen that over the years or year or two, he has slowed down his activity, the fact remains that there are still those persons who saw him as that. And let me say that from what we are gathering so far is that his killing has to do with his own surroundings. Persons from within his own group are the ones who may have been responsible for his murder. And so we are looking at that and Mister Rosado and I we spoke and we have put things in place to mitigate any possible retaliation.”
