CitCo Confirms Four Cases of COVID

The Belize City Council sent out a press release just a short while ago confirming that four members of its staff have tested positive for COVID-19. According to the release, the cases were detected at different departments at City Hall and at various locations.  CitCo says that all persons who have been identified as a close contact of the individual have been directed to isolate until they test negative.  City Hall has also sanitized its offices and says it is following all the recommended measures.  In related news, we were informed that the Belize Water Services Belmopan branch has been temporarily closed for sanitization after some of its employees became exposed to the virus.
