Ministries to Collaborate for Tourism Projects

Nicole Solano

Solano explained that the equipment is the last phase of the five-year project, which focuses on enhancing marine resources and tourism infrastructure.  The C.E.O. explained that because tourism encompasses so much, there will be a need for future collaboration.

Nicole Solano, C.E.O., Ministry of Tourism

“Tourism has a lot in common with many of the other ministries and – like in the case of Mountain Pine Ridge – the handing over was done to the Forestry Department. So it was a different Ministry then. So tourism really touches across Ministries so definitely there will be a need for collaboration across the board going forward, so we expect that as we move forward in our plans for tourism recovery under COVID and also general developments because we need to continue to develop the product. We have to continue to look and see what needs developments.”

Among the equipment handed over were a drone, a computer, tablets, rangefinders, buoys, waterproof binoculars, spotlights and flashlights. A boat and two seventy-five horsepower engines, uniforms and gear for the field management staff will arrive shortly.
