Family Devastated: Son Killed During Placencia Trip

Bradley reflects on his son, whose life was cut short at fourteen as he was innocently killed by a police officer. They were to return to their home in Cayo on Friday.

“…very friendly person, very funny person; he is always the clown in the group. He’s not that type of person that you would consider to be violent, so when I got the news, it was a shock. I know he is a friendly, joking kind, respectful to everyone. He is not the kinda kid that you will be at home, night come and he is out, you’d be wondering where he is.  Like I said, Placencia is a very safe place, we consider it to be safe; hence the reason why we on our day off, we go down there just to spend a family time.”

So you all were on vacation in Placencia?”

“Well not vacation. We went on time off. We took some time off away from work and we went together as a family in Placencia because I have my brother-in-law and his wife who is visiting here with us. So we just took a time out and we went to spent some family time together.”

“When did you go to Placencia and how long were you expecting to stay there?”

“Well we went down there Tuesday. We were eexpecting to return tomorrow, Friday.”
