Stamp Duty Exemptions Sought

Another bill introduced seeks to encourage investment by exempting certain documents from stamp duty. PM Briceño explains.

“We want to make it easier and cheaper to start a business in Belize by eliminating the stamp duty on documents necessary to form a company. Even the documents you have to take you have to pay stamp duties and it is something that for the past is archaic and cumbersome. So, this bill continues the path of this government to stimulate investment especially for MSMEs by streamlining the process by making it easier, simpler to do business in Belize.”
