Public Appeal for Guillain Barre Patient Yesenia Anaya

A father is appealing to the public to help save his daughter’s life. About five weeks ago, twenty-four-year-old Yesenia Anaya fell ill and was diagnosed with a rare condition called Guillain-Barre (Gee-yan- Bar) syndrome. It has paralyzed Anaya who is now hospitalized with mounting medical bills that the family cannot afford.

“The situation here is that my daughter is seriously ill in the hospital. She has a syndrome that is called Guillan Barre. It is a very expensive sickness to treat and very dangerous. So, on this occasion, I want to appeal to the public to please help us to save my daughter’s life. The sickness is one that attacks the nerves and kills the nerves. It is like her immune system works in reverse and kills the nerve and leaves the body dead. So, it is a very serious illness and the cost of her treatment is very expensive.”
