Same Buena Vista Checkpoint Yields Marijuana Bust

Moments after seizing a small shipment of cocaine onboard a passenger bus, police at the vehicular checkpoint near Buena Vista stopped another bus traveling towards Corozal Town. While conducting a search of that vehicle, officers came across a blue, floral bag that was on the floor of the luggage area at the rear of the bus. Inside the bag were also three tightly wrapped, square parcels containing what is believed to be compressed marijuana. Those parcels also amounted to three point four kilograms when weighed. As with the previous case, no one claimed the bag and contents were also deposited at the Corozal Police Station as found property.
