Police Close to Identifying Body in San Ignacio

On the matter of the John Doe found dead in San Ignacio on Monday, police say that they believe they are close to verifying the identity of the victim. Here’s more from ASP Yearwood of the Belize Police Department.

“We believe we are closer to establishing an identity. So far our investigators got a name and they are just trying to verify because we don’t want to put a name out there and we have to do a retraction of any form. And yes investigators are looking at a suspect that they believe could shed more light on this incident; hopefully pretty soon we would be able to release everything as soon as we establish a true identity of the victim of this crime.”
