Suspect Released and Victim Not Cooperating with Police
Thirty-eight-year-old Mayflower Street resident Jervis Valencia has not been cooperating with police after he was shot in the jaw in an alley way off Banak Street last week Friday. The person police detained for the shooting was later released. According to ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Valencia checked himself out of the K.H.M.H. this morning.

“Recently, just before coming in here. I received information that he self-discharged from the KHMH. I have officers on their way to verify if this is so. But we know that we have not made any arrest so far into that investigation. The persons that were detained after their time expired, they had to be released. But if needs, be they will be detained again. But we will see where that goes when we get an actual update on his condition and whereabouts.”
