Infrastructural Improvements for Road to Machakilha?

Oscar Requeña

Today, a group of women travelled to the remote village of Machakilha to install solar powered equipment into several homes. “Infrastructure is very expensive and really when you look at Machakilha it is very rugged terrain; it is not easy to get in there. There will have to be a multifaceted approach to dealing with that. I am certain that consideration is being given to infrastructure, but we also have to look at it from a holistic point of view in which we look at infrastructure and other measures that can be put in place to ensure that the area is fully protected.”
