Toledo Police Officer Shot

A Guatemalan xatéro is being accused of shooting a police officer in the Toledo District. Reports are that Police Constable Ronaldo Camara was on his way from San Jose Hawai with a joint patrol team when he stopped at a river to fetch water. Camara reportedly fell behind the patrol, and in the process of catching up he encountered two Hispanic male persons. Both Hispanic males were reportedly armed. One of the men allegedly fired a gun shot in PC Camara’s direction which caught him to the left calf. Camara reportedly fired back, and the men managed to escape. The patrol team located Camara shortly after, and he was escorted to the Punta Gorda Polyclinic where he is listed in a stable condition.
