Taiwan Donation to Protect Border Personnel

Much needed masks for the protection against COVID-19 have been donated to the Customs Department by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Five thousand surgical masks were handed over on Tuesday by Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien to Comptroller of the Belize Customs and Excise Department, Estelle Bailey-Leslie.  They will be used by frontline customs officers while they carry out their duties at the borders and the Philip Goldson International Airport.  This is the second donation made to the department. In June, 2020, the embassy handed over ten thousand Made-in-Taiwan surgical masks and twenty-five infrared forehead thermometers.
