Negotiating Team Acknowledges Joint Union’s Discontent

Dean Flowers

Government’s negotiating team has acknowledged the joint union’s grievance with the Prime Minister’s national address. On Thursday night, P.S.U. President, Gerald Henry told News Five that an apology was given, but today, Vice President Flowers said he would not classify G.O.B.’s comments as an apology.

Dean Flowers, Vice President, PSU

“The prime Minister’s speech to the country and to the world, before coming to the joint unions was a calculated move, was deliberate, and I a sure he himself is unapologetic for that. But as I have always stated the government’s negotiating team has always been respectful gentlemen and has always carried themselves as such. And they heard from the joint team our disappointment and our disapproval of the prime Minister’s approach. They heard it and they acknowledged it. I do not know if I would categorize the government’s team response as apologetic. But as good gentlemen they heard us out and they acknowledged that we are not pleased with it. They also stated that the Prime Minister was within his right to inform the nation on what clearly is a national issue.”
