Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism & Diaspora Relations

“The manner in which we have controlled COVID-19 and all the natural and manmade and cultural assets that we have to offer as a country, I would like to invite the world to visit us. There is a lot of learn, there is a lot to experience in a safe and healthy way. In those eight thousand, eight hundred and sixty-seven square miles, we have so much assets for you to learn. And we are putting in place all the necessary policies and programmes for people to come to Belize and have a good experience. Just recently, we launched the long stay programme. Initially when you came to Belize, you only had thirty days to stay in the country. Now, this moves it up to ninety and then we want to do up to one hundred and eighty days to come and stay-cation as they call it – work and play while you are in Belize.”
