Four-Car Crash on the George Price Highway

Early this morning, there was a four car accident on the George Price Highway near the Tropical Park community, and fortunately, no one was gravely injured. When a News Five team arrived on the scene, commuters had stopped to render assistance to those involved and an off-duty officer was directing traffic. Apparently, a pickup truck carrying fruits had experienced mechanical problems and parked on the road. While much of the oncoming traffic recognized the hazard and slowed down, several did not. In total four vehicles, including a mini bus, an Isuzu D-Max pickup and two SUVs were damaged in the crash. Rainy weather and low visibility may have been a factor. Police and paramedics arrived on the scene to extricate the female driver from the pickup truck. News Five spoke with fruit vendor Tyler Smith about what transpired.

Tyler Smith, Fruit Vendor

The other two was behind us just like how the white one was there, the other one was back of us here and they were coming at full speed. The greenish  greyish ride run into the black ride over there.”
