“Jose Alberto Gonzalez with apparent chopped wounds lying inside a yard. He was immediately transported to the western regional hospital and later to the K.H.M.H. where he remains in a critical condition.”

Gonzalez was hanging out with two men at a nearby yard when they got into an altercation. The nature of the argument remains unknown at this time. But to make things worse, Gonzalez’s sister, Maricela told News Five that one of his attackers is a cousin.

“He was saying that two persons wanted to kill him; that one was our cousin and the other was Michael. He came and wanted a machete, but my mom didn’t give him any machete. Then my mom told him not to get into any trouble. He still went shouting out. Two of them were following him. He was going to his room to the back of my mom’s house when he heard like there was knocking on something. My dad and mom came out of the house at the same time and then my dad told my mom, they have already killed your son. And they saw two of them chopping my brother. When we heard my mom, we came out with my husband to see and we saw my brother lying right there. All the chop wounds were on his head so we called the police.”

Quick response by police has led to the detention of the perps.
