K9 Sniffs Out Crack-Cocaine in OW Residence, 4 Persons Charged
Four persons were charged with drug offenses after the K9 dog, Terry, sniffed out the location of hidden cocaine and crack cocaine at an Orange Walk residence. Officers descended at a residence along Liberty Avenue where Amin Mendez, Jessica Melendez, Amini Mendez, and Henry Nunez. Police say that Terry led them to a small fuse box above a shelf in one of the storage rooms. Inside the fuse box were three plastic bags. Two bags contained six point one grams of cocaine, and the third bag contained sixteen grams of crack cocaine. The four persons were charged with “Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another.” On that same day, police officers also searched the apartment occupied by Lyndon Lauriano on Riverside Street. Inside they found twenty-one point four grams of marijuana hidden in a jacket. Lauriano was charged with “Possession of Controlled Drugs.”
