Another Weed Bust!
There was yet another weed bust on the Philip Goldson Highway. In Orange Walk on January second, police intercepted a vehicle driven at the time by Akeem Bowen; he was accompanied by Curlan Phillips. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of four parcels of suspected cannabis, weighing four point five kilos or approximately ten pounds. The men have since been charged for the drug related offence. ACP Joseph Myvett tells us more.

“Sometime around seven p.m. whilst police officers were conducting vehicular checkpoint on the Philip Goldson Highway, a black Toyota Hilux approached, at the time being driven by one Akeem Bowen, thirty-one years, and he was accompanied by one Curlan Phillips, thirty-two years. A search conducted by police of the vehicle results in the discovery of four parcels of suspected marijuana which when weighed amounted to four thousand five hundred grams. Both persons have since been arrested and charged for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and they should be appearing in court today.”
