Joycelin Moguel Gives Birth to First Baby in 2021

The first baby of 2021 was delivered at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City.  Weighing in at nine pounds four ounces, baby Bryce was born to thirty-year-old Joycelin Moguel.  Baby Bryce was born at one-twenty-five in the morning.  The birth of Bryce on January first would ordinarily be followed by a brief ceremony where his mother would give her first interview from the maternity ward, but due to COVID-19, such an event did not occur this year.  Nonetheless, food hampers and packages will be provided by Price Premiere Products, Brodies, SMART, San Cas Seven Seas and Pick and Wear clothing store.  Moguel says that while she was excited to be a mother once more, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was worrisome.

“I was worried. I was scared. I changed mask on every turn I turn. I hand sanitized. I was afraid bad.  I felt happy too. I got over it.  I didn’t know I was going to have a baby around these times. I thought it was before that but so came before that day.  Very well because I am around my other kids so I feel much, much better because I was feeling kind of worry when I went to hospital and I used to leave them, just go like that for these couple of days there.  I get admitted the twenty-ninth and I had baby the Friday, New Years.”
