U.S. Embassy Donates to NEMO

The United States Embassy donated over thirty-five thousand U.S. dollars worth of COVID-19 response equipment and supplies to NEMO on Monday. The donation package includes cleaning supplies such as bleach, garbage bags, mops, brooms, disinfectant spray, and hand sanitizers, as well as gloves, masks, gowns, and face shields.  In the press release about the donation, Chargé d’Affaires Keith Gilges said, “As the world continues to battle the threat of COVID-19 together, the United States is doing our part to help our Belizean friends and neighbors. These supplies will be used to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Belize. We remain deeply committed to supporting organizations like NEMO in their efforts to deliver timely assistance to the people of Belize in emergencies, including those created by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
