Godoy Family Wants Justice; Asks for Investigation into Death of Arturo Godoy Junior

The heart-wrenching death of six-year-old Arturo Godoy Junior sent shockwaves across the country.  The chilling story is that the minor suffered kidney complications and died alone inside the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the K.H.M.H.  Godoy Junior was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for non-COVID related assistance and was later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was swabbed. Soon after, Godoy Senior was told that his son was COVID-19 positive and the father was denied access to his son.  He says his baby boy was scared and died alone inside the hospital. For many, it’s the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent and so Godoy Senior says he wants answers.

On the Phone: Arturo Godoy Sr. Father of Deceased

“As I finish my fourteen days, I won’t left this like this cause I want to know what they did to my son. I heard the news that Manzanero said that a parent should stay over there. Why is the reason they take me out of there? Why? That’s what I want to know. Why they take me out? I was already there. Why? That’s all my question.  Manzanero said he will investigate. Why I didn’t gone over there. But if I come and tell you oh cause this and that. It’s not his son that passed away. It’s my son. Why they didn’t come or call me and say Mister Godoy this and this happening. Nothing was done and I won’t leave this like this cause I want justice cause I know my baby didn’t die from COVID-19. They treat my baby bad. I won’t lef this like this. I want justice and I will make sure I get it.   I know deep in me, if I was right there, my baby wouldn’t pass away because if I see him closing his eyes, I would wake him up, I would call him. I would tell him be strong, son be strong; hold his hand. But if I left him right there, how you think the baby would feel? My baby gone, passed away. he was scared. He was frighten.”

The family is asking for the assistance of an attorney.
