ComPol Says Inmate’s Confession Video Doesn’t Put Him at Risk

Chester Williams

While the recording is out in the public, what does mean for inmate Christopher Bradley in prison?  Today, Commissioner Williams was asked if that video may cause Bradley harm – considering that his confession implicates both inmates and guards. Williams says that he doesn’t believe the video puts Bradley at risk:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“Well, I don’t think it puts his life at risk. And the fact that I am saying here now that from an investigative standpoint we are not giving any credence to that video and have explained the circumstances under which it was given. Prison is a place where human rights to some extent are still upheld. So, I don’t anticipate that the prison officers are going to take offence to what has been said in that video and if it is that they do and they do something to harm that individual or take his life then they are going to be in the position that he is in now and they should know that.”

Reporter

“I was speaking specifically of inmates and that culture in prison – not particularly of the guards?”

Chester Williams

“Well, I don’t know if he said much about inmates but what I saw in the video was more in terms of indicting prison officers. So, I don’t foresee inmates having an issue with him.”
