“We need to move the body but the authorities are not allowing us. We don’t understand why they are not moving her body. Her body is about to decompose because we went to see it on Monday around three in the afternoon. When I went to see the body it was swollen and about to start decomposing and the investigator says it is normal – but that isn’t normal. I don’t understand what is the holdup – supposedly to gather more evidence but which evidence? They already have that and know who the killer is. We, as the family, are asking San Pedro Town for justice. It is not fair that her murder goes unpunished or else this kind of killing of women will continue.”

After Plietes comments were shared across social media – Commissioner of Police Chester Williams also took to Facebook to comment on the matter. He wrote that investigators have been working on the case ever since and that they are trying to gather the envidence against the suspect. According to Williams, David Gonzalez has been silent and they are working around it.
