Three prison officers were held hostage during the brazen jailbreak. One of them is Wendell Coc, a Basic Grade Prisoner Officer. “When I came to go to the tower, Elser Oseguerra put the knife on my throat. Put his knife in my throat. His knife in my throat because they already had his knife. So I can’t do anything. They said where is the tower keys and they got the tower keys and they started open the cell with the knife on my throat I don’t move because I was afraid he kills me. Right away everybody started to come out because when they came out everybody started t come out. An then they handcuffed me and then I saw this man underneath the thing bawling for help but he can’t help because they have a cloth in his mouth. Tie up everything. He can’t even talk. So when they put me there they handcuffed me too and they threw me on the floor with him and they said if you don’t comply with we you will die. So they plan to get eagle tree and we can’t holler for any help because they have us. So when we see eagle three man reached too along with he. So we can’t do anything else. That is when the take over the weapon from eagle three and they put weapon on us and they had us in cell five. All the while we were in cell five. They told us right when they came to us they told us that they will make two offices talk when you move. Uno will shield us because if anybody shoot…Joel Sierra he is the one who has the weapon. He has his foot all band up with tape and anything. Don’t fix up himself when they told us and we can’t do anything. They said we are tired of killing man, if you try to run you will get shot. That is when we came up and we started to radio the tower them.”
