Two More Victims Die of COVID-19
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 has gone up a notch. Two more persons died as a result of having contracted COVID-19 over the weekend. Those numbers were recorded earlier today to include a woman from Corozal District who died suddenly over the holiday weekend. That woman, according to Director of Health Services, Doctor Marvin Manzanero, is in her forties. Likewise, a male patient also succumbed at the K.H.M.H. earlier today, bringing the death toll to thirty-nine patients.

“We do have two deaths that should appear in the infographic today, one was a female in her forties who arrive in Corozal, sudden death as she was classified. That happened over the weekend. She was swabbed and that was reported as a confirmed positive case and we had a death of somebody who’s a dialysis patient that died at Karl Heusner earlier in the day. So those two will appear in today’s infographic. So yesterday’s results we had thirty-eight cases and as I had mentioned, most of those would have been in Corozal and Orange Walk and I did mention that when you look at the numbers in Cayo, eight cases came up in Belmopan but we are following the particular situation at Belizario Camp in Central Farm where we had two cases reported in yesterday’s infographic, but then you look back at what was reported on Sunday and then you have like seven cases that were reported out of Belizario Camp as well. So those are the numbers that we need to be following as we move along because those are bigger clusters of persons confined to a specific area.”
