Bail for Anthony Barrow

Anthony Barrow

He is no stranger to the law. In fact, in July of this year he and three others were arrested and charged for the mid-afternoon armed hold-up at the Belama branch of Scotia Bank on the Philip Goldson Highway on July second.  The robbery ended in a crossfire with cops who were on mobile patrol in the area and who were hot on their heels and caught up with them on Seashore Drive.  Twenty-nine-year-old Anthony Barrow, who was nabbed at the scene as one of the men trying to flee in a white van, today applied and was granted bail, with the assistance of his attorney, Oscar Selgado. Supreme Court Justice, Herbert Lord offered Barrow bail of twelve thousand dollars, which is the equivalent of property papers and imposed conditions. Barrow and his three accomplices are charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault upon two policemen, Damage to Property, and two counts of Kept Unlicensed Firearm and two counts of Kept Unlicensed Ammunition in connection with two pistols and three different types of live ammunition that police reportedly found in the boat in which the men attempted to flee. In the chase, following the robbery, Gasman Young Junior was shot and killed in the crossfire with police, who say that he shot at them as he attempted to flee in a waiting boat after he exited a van in the Belama area that afternoon.
