ComPol Says Funeral Attendees Can Be Charged for Failure to Observe Safety Protocols!

So, as you heard, during the funeral motorcade for Mister Program, there were concerns about the lack of social distancing and failure to observe other safety protocols.  The funeral organizers appeared to have attempted to heed to the concerns, but that didn’t seem to last. When the body made its way over to the Alamilla Family home on Kelly Street, there were dozens in the yard, many of whom were not wearing a mask and others who weren’t wearing one properly. As we saw in the video, there were several cops as well at the residence, but it didn’t seem there was a lot of adherence to social distancing while viewing the body. The funeral attracted a large gathering of supporters, including family, friends and fans of the artist, but it also sent a big red flag during this pandemic. Once they went for the burial at the Lord Ridge Cemetery, there were more than ten persons according to the video footage. Today, we asked Commissioner Chester Williams about possible COVID-19 exposure as a result of the gathering considering several officers were on site at the different locations. Here’s what he had to say.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“If that is so, then I am going to be extremely pissed. I spoke to Mr. Rosado earlier, he had called, and he said to me that there was this funeral for Mr. Program and a number of vehicles in a procession going to the cemetery. I said to him that if it is a procession – everybody in vehicles – fine. But once they reach the cemetery – no more than ten persons must get out of those vehicles to be where the body will be laid to rest. I also said to him that if it is that it exceeds the number of persons at the burial site, then those persons must be arrested. So, I will be watching the news tonight and if it is that there was a violation – then we have to address it. We cannot afford to continue to proceed like this. People must understand that we have protocols in place to protect the society and what is so hard for us as rationale human beings to just understand and abide by the rules.”

“Would you really arrest dozens of people who attended that funeral?”

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“If they are wrong, they are wrong!”
