Did Man Set Fire at Caledonia Police Station?

Joseph Myvett

There’s also a small fire to report in the north. This fire was set on the Caledonia Police Station. ACP Joseph Myvett says that the officers who work at the station were out at the time when someone set garbage ablaze on the building on Sunday night just before seven-thirty.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“Police were called to the Caledonia Police Station where it was reported to them by neighbours that sometime around six-fifty-five p.m. on the said date, they observed smoke coming from the upper portion of the Caledonia Police Station back porch. As a result, those neighbours went there to investigate and observed that it was garbage placed there that was being burnt and they were able to extinguish the flames. However, the police also learnt that just before the flames a young man was seen leaving the area and at this point in time he is being sought by the police pending this investigation.”
