George Price is Remembered on National Service Day

John Briceño

To end our newscast tonight, the late Father of Independence George Cadle Price was remembered by the People’s United Party on Saturday, which is commemorated as National Service Day.  Nine years after the passing of former Prime Minister Price, the P.U.P. visited his gravesite at the Lord Ridge Cemetery after engaging in social outreach across the country. Party Leader John Briceño expresses his thoughts on Price’s legacy.

John Briceño, Leader, People’s United Party

“It is always a challenge and when you think of what Mr. Price did and represents, you feel humbled that you are taking over or leading the party that he has spent his entire life working with and it makes you in effect, it humbles you so that whenever you feel that yoh head di get big, ih di swell up because you dah Mister This or Mister That, whenever you remember what he has done it brings you back down to earth and your feet on the ground for you to realize that you need to live his example, to live what he lived for which is to serve with humility and to always serve the people of this nation.”
