Was Victor Pratt Killed – Police Say Not So Fast – it is a Death Investigation for Now

Victor Pratt

Police are not calling the death of Victor Pratt a murder just yet – yes, you heard that right.  Today, the officer in charge of the Crime Investigation Branch for the Eastern Division told the press that Pratt’s death is being treated as a death investigation at this time. What they have gathered so far is that Pratt was shot with a rifle and that he may not have been killed at the area where his body was found. Superintendent Alejandro Cowo says that they are investigating all possible causes in Pratt’s death – even accidental. Here’s how he explains it.

Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division

“While the post-mortem was being conducted, the pathologist shared some information with the police and that is where we learned that the injury that he sustained is consistent with a bullet. Hence the reason we have classified his injury and police is dealing with a death investigation at this moment.”

Alejandro Cowo

“Sir, so when you say a death investigation, this suggests to me that you all don’t think at this point that it is a homicide. Might he have been shot accidentally or a gun may have fired accidentally?”

Supt. Alejandro Cowo

“Well, we haven’t established if it was a negligent shooting or if it was an intentional shooting that is yet for us to discover while investigating the matter. That is why we classify it as that at this moment.”

“Any expended shells found or something like that?”

Supt. Alejandro Cowo

“Where he actually collided that is the scene that was processed. We suspect that he was shot at another location where he managed to drive until that area where he was found until he just dropped off from the cycle.”
