Alan Slusher to Replace Nestor Vasquez?
We have been reporting extensively on the B.T.L. fiasco where a new chairman is to be named in the next few days. News Five has received word that Prime Minister Dean Barrow intends to appoint Alan Slusher to temporarily replace Nestor Vasquez on B.T.L.’s Board of Directors. Slusher, who is a former advisor to PM Barrow, was appointed as President to the University of Belize in 2014. He later resigned in 2017. Slusher has also held the post of Governor of the Central Bank of Belize in 1985. He has also held positions at the World Bank, the Caribbean Development Bank, the Belize Electricity Limited and the Belize Telemedia Limited.
